Courtney Dentlinger

Courtney Dentlinger is the Vice President of Customer Services and External Affairs & Chief Customer Officer for Nebraska Public Power District.  She also serves as one of the District’s registered lobbyists at the Unicameral and oversees NPPD’s state government affairs activities, NPPD’s internal and external communications efforts, and economic development and sustainable energy efforts. 

She currently is a board member for the State Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Nebraska Diplomats, the NEBRASKAland Foundation, Invest Nebraska, and serves on the President’s Advisory Council and University Technology Development Corporation for the University of Nebraska.  She was appointed by the Governor to the Nebraska Tourism Commission in March 2025.

Courtney has nearly two decades of experience in government relations, communications, legal and policy analysis, and economic development.  She is a native Nebraskan who grew up working in her family’s farming operation, and a true believer in the state’s public power model. Dentlinger earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, international studies and Spanish from Wayne State College, and a juris doctorate from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She has worked in the U.S. Senate, lobbied at the federal level, was a member of the administration of Northeast Community College, and led the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. 

She resides in Norfolk with her husband Nick and their four children.
